For many years, voice INTER connect collaborates in projects focussing on research and development.
On this site we inform you about current and elapsed projects.
Unless otherwise indicated, funding is provided by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research.
Models for Personalized Healthcare
The joint project is aimed at finding new approaches to support cancer treatment. One sub-project intends the development of an intelligent speech assistant for so-called "tumour boards" (tumour conference for the treatment planning of patients, consisting of experts from different medical disciplines).

Multi-modal Omni-directional 3D Sensor for Behavioral Analysis of People
Aim of MOVA3D project is the conception of a sensor platform for the grasp of situations. This will be based on an omni-directional 3D-stereo procedure which shall capture the whole room with only one sensor.
Within the project voice INTER connect is responsible for the development of an audio sensor. It realizes a dynamic, acoustic monitoring of a person through robust source localisation and beamforming algorithms. The method allows for separation of acoustic sources and reduces reverberation.

Travel Assistant for dynamic Environments based on Augmented Reality
In this project, a personal mobility agent is being developed that shall support users while travelling. The system allows users to plan their journey, offers support for changing means of transport and suggests activities for the current location. At the same time, the systems adapts to the users' personal needs (e. g. shopping preferences, walking speed). voice INTER connect is taking care of implementing a speech user interface that also allows for a robust voice control under rough environmental conditions.

Multi-modal, data-based assistence system for rehabilitation and preservation of communication abilities for patients with dysarthria or apraxia of speech as a result of neurological diseases
Funding provided in the course of "Zentrales Innovationsprogramm Mittelstand" (ZIM) of the Federal Ministry for Economics and Technology.

Automated Assistance in Cases of Emergency
The project´s central issue was a solution, which allows for a fast and automatic alarm in case of an emergency in a senior household. This is important for the case, that a resident is no longer able to organize help by himself.
voice INTER connect was responsible for the development of an innovative, multi-purpose audio sensor for noise recognition and voice control for home automation.
Project Coordinator: ennovatis GmbH
Cooperative Project: Energy-efficient sensor networks for acoustic condition monitoring
voice INTER connect worked on the sub-project "architectures for signal processing". The aim was to develop a system for detection and localisation of sound events in rooms. Depending on different energy budgets, measurement accuracy should be controlled (high budget - high precision, low budget - lower precision).
